Catherine joined Chambers as Pupil in September 2017. She was called to the Bar in 2005 after studying for her degree and BVC part time as a mature student. Catherine has undertaken instructions as a solicitor’s agent on civil and insolvency matters since 2008. She brings with her a wealth of civil experience to chambers and is well established in her own practice in Kent and East Sussex. She is particularly skilled in working both with and against litigants in person.
Since joining Chambers, Catherine is developing a broad practice in General Civil and Family Law.
Catherine is a former Housing and Social Security Caseworker for Citizen’s Advice holding a Specialist Quality Mark for legal services between 2006 and 2008.

Catherine has acted for claimants and defendants in most areas of civil law including consumer credit, mortgage repossessions, landlord and tenant, and civil enforcement.
Acting for Petitioners, Trustees, Debtors on bankruptcy petitions and post-bankruptcy applications.
