Adrian Pidduck in Reported Court of Appeal case
Adrian represented the Guardian in an appeal by the Mother. The Court of Appeal overturned care and placement orders. The Guardian's position was that the first instance decisions were in the child's best interests, but she acknowledged that there were certain difficulties with the judgment, albeit not to the extent replied upon by the Mother. The Court of Appeal held that the difficulties were such that the orders could not stand and the matter was remitted to the Family Court for a re-hearing before a different judge.
