Chambers ranked as Leading Set 2015

We are delighted to announce that we have been ranked as a 'Leading Set' in the South Eastern Circuit for the second year running in the Legal 500 Bar Guide 2015.

The guide reads; A prominent name in Kent, Stour Chambers is a 'very good' family law set with 'friendly and approachable' counsel. It has a strong emphasis on public children law work, representing parents, children and interveners; members are particularly experienced in complex fact finding hearings involving allegations of sexual abuse or non-accidental injuries, as well as care proceedings involving Eastern European families. Individuals also undertake private law children work, and the set has seen an uptick in financial remedy instructions recently. Simon Johnson recently replaced Michael Batey as head of chambers, following Batey's appointment as district judge. Senior clerk Marc Goddard 'heads a very good team that makes sure everything runs smoothly'.
